Cianbro believes safety drives productivity. Safety is the prime workplace factor to ensure risks are eliminated or mitigated, improving quality and achieving outstanding productivity. Cianbro strives for zero lost time injuries on each project site. Every team member has a moral right to an injury-free workplace. Cianbro takes great pride in our declining recordable injury rate, lost time injury rate, and insurance modifier rate, which are among the lowest in the construction industry. The management skills, commitment, and teamwork required to achieve an injury free workplace are identical to those needed to build a strong, legally sound, upstanding, and financially secure company.
Cianbro has a strong commitment to follow all of the applicable federal (OSHA), state, and local safety requirements, at a minimum. We also evaluate the work and establish policies and procedures that exceed those standards if the safety of our team members warrants it. Several of our policies exceed the OSHA standards because “it is the right thing to do.”
Applicable Occupational Health and Safety legislation, regulations, and codes are readily available through monitoring at the corporate level and through communication between the corporate safety team and field safety personnel. Updated information is consistently being passed on for inclusion at the project level. Our safety policies and procedures are updated annually and forwarded to the operation teams for use in the field. Cianbro's Current Safety Programs:
