Cianbro crews are preparing to deliver the latest shipment of Maine-produced Electrical-Rooms to Long Harbour, Newfoundland, on behalf of an international mining company that is establishing a brand new nickel processing plant in that region. Loading the massive modules onto a barge at the Cianbro bulkhead in Brewer is currently underway.

Individuals throughout the construction industry know that the goals of the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) are to assure that construction clients receive quality service and construction workers have rewarding, progressive careers. The NCCER develops, maintains, and disseminates craft training materials, opportunities for leadership growth, and effective safety training.

A significant milestone was reached January 27th in the town of Farmingdale, Maine as Cianbro Irby crews placed the final jumpers on the Bowman’s Street and Brown’s Crossing Substations. As of Monday, January 23rd, the project has worked over 250,000 consecutive hours without a recordable injury.

Representatives of the Maine Department of Labor joined Senior Cianbro Executives in congratulating the team members of Cianbro's Pittsfield Coating team for earning the government's SHARP (Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program) award.  

Starcon has been chosen by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) as a recipient of  the 2011 National Safety Merit Award, which recognizes companies that demonstrate a continued commitment to jobsite safety, and whose safety performance and programs are judged to be exemplary by ABC.

After a remarkable weekend operation in November, which resulted in a double replacement of the busy Amtrak railway bridges in Stonington, Connecticut, Cianbro team members received congratulations from Cianbro and Amtrak leaders.

Eighteen joint venture team members safely returned to the MPRP Central Loop Project last week after seven 15 hour days of storm duty in Connecticut.

Cianbro Irby has reached another significant milestone for the MPRP Central Loop Project by safely completing the Section 375/375T transmission line rebuild.

Cianbro/Middlesex team members at the Niantic River Bascule Bridge Replacement Project in Connecticut have made considerable progress over the summer of 2011. The crews put plenty of focus on the approaches to the moveable bridge during the warm summer months, and now are looking toward a shift in focus to the new control house, track realignment, approach steel, and the main structure.
