Cianbro crews are preparing to deliver the latest shipment of Maine-produced Electrical-Rooms to Long Harbour, Newfoundland, on behalf of an international mining company that is establishing a brand new nickel processing plant in that region. Loading the massive modules onto a barge at the Cianbro bulkhead in Brewer is currently underway.

A significant milestone was reached January 27th in the town of Farmingdale, Maine as Cianbro Irby crews placed the final jumpers on the Bowman’s Street and Brown’s Crossing Substations. As of Monday, January 23rd, the project has worked over 250,000 consecutive hours without a recordable injury.

Cianbro/Middlesex team members at the Niantic River Bascule Bridge Replacement Project in Connecticut have made considerable progress over the summer of 2011. The crews put plenty of focus on the approaches to the moveable bridge during the warm summer months, and now are looking toward a shift in focus to the new control house, track realignment, approach steel, and the main structure. Jeff Roig from Middlesex and Kris Ballard from Cianbro discuss the progress the team members have made over the past few months, and the prospects that the crews face during the upcoming winter.
