Cianbro constructed a 24,000 sf Math & Science Center on the Maine Central Institute Campus.

Project Details

• Managed the overall design and construction of the building
• Placed concrete foundations and erected the steel structure
• Managed the drilling of two 1,500-ft wells for the geothermal heating and cooling system
• Installed 600-amp service for lights, receptacles, heating system, and elevator
• Installed a motion detector security system 
• Constructed a masonry elevator shaft and installed the elevator
• Installed roof system constructed of metal deck, plywood, weather shield, and asphalt shingles
• Refinished and constructed approximately 500 ft of lab desks
• Installed 22 individual heat pumps for the geothermal system
• Installed both “wet” and “dry” pipe sprinkler systems
• Placed approximately 78,000 exterior bricks
