Scope of Work
Cianbro constructed a 577 space, 330 ft by 180 ft parking garage on the Eastern Maine Medical Center Campus.

Project Details

• Excavated an existing parking lot adjacent to the hospital—blasted rock, removed overburden material, and placed crushed stone for the new subgrade
• Placed bearing pile and foundations on ledge for the three-level parking garage 
• Drove over 650 tons of flat permanent sheet pile to remove the lateral load on the garage resulting in a free-standing retaining wall
• Erected over 7,200 tons of precast concrete  
• Installed four stair towers, an elevator tower, electrical room, and maintenance storage room
