Cianbro managed the architectural and engineering design and the construction of L.L. Bean’s 457,000 sf, two-story distribution center.

Project Details

• Planned and managed the project budget and construction schedule
• Managed the project design to ensure constructibility, quality, and cost control
• Prepared RFPs and selected construction subcontractors who worked safely and met quality, schedule, and cost requirements
• Self-performed concrete foundation and structural steel erection work
• Managed and coordinated all project safety and quality control activities
• Installed an electro-magnetically-driven, 272-meter-long multipack sorter with 289 trays, 256 “double-double” chutes with an 18,000 unit/hour sort capacity 
• Installed an electro-magnetically-driven, 238-meter-long shipping sorter with 250 trays, 122 chutes with a 12,000 unit/hour sort capacity
