White Marsh Pumping Station
Scope of Work
Cianbro provided a complete electrical upgrade for the pumping station including unit substations, motor control centers, a programmable logic controller, variable frequency drives, transformers, disconnects, and manual motor starters.
Project Details
Installed 600 amp motor control center
Installed 30 KVA transformer, a 3 KVA transformer and two 60 amp disconnects
Installed 10 manual motor starters and 2 variable frequency drives
Furnished and installed 14,000 LF of conduit, 62,224 LF of wire and 6,240 terminations.
Unique Challenge
Cianbro installed a duct bank containing 24 – 4 inch conduits that branched off into two separate duct banks each containing 12 – 4 inch conduits, which ran to the underside of the switchgear. The site was below ground level and filled with water causing saturated, muddy working conditions.
