Job Description

Title: Electrical Project Engineer
Location: PA/VA/MD/NC/DE/IN/ID

The Electrical Project Engineer provides technical & commercial support of the project.  
Job Responsibilities:
Generate and maintain a contract compliance matrix
Establish and maintain a project budget,  including identifying out of scope work, and estimating and communicating out of scope work to the clients and maintaining the project change order log.
Generate and maintain the project submittal log, Requests For Information log, and correspondence with client/owner.
Participate in the preparation and maintenance of a detailed project schedule, including scheduling of engineering deliverables to support the procurement of long lead equipment and commodity materials to meet the project schedule objectives
Conduct scheduled constructability reviews to ensure our electrical consultant engineers are delivering a cost effective final design
Procure materials that meet the project requirements for cost, quality, schedule and warranty, and expedite as required to ensure timely delivery
 Develop work packages to clearly communicate to the frontline supervisors all of the critical information they need to safely and efficiently install the work
Prepare production indicators/benchmarks, and communicate the results to the field and project management team.
Educate our team to ensure an understanding and compliance with permit and license   requirements.
Interpret design/drawings & specifications, and resolve drawing conflicts / problems, interferences, and errors.
Identify & maintain suitable quality records that verify that all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings and specifications.
Develop a complete turnover document set at the project start, and update accordingly, that meets the project & client’s expectations
Contribute to the daily job log.
Preferred candidates have a minimum a 2 year degree in electrical engineering and/or a minimum of 2 years related experience in electrical engineering & construction.
Working knowledge of electrical engineering & construction including electrical engineering principles, safety requirements, craft license requirements, estimating, scheduling, & procurement skills
Solid communication & organizational skills.
Substation and Transmission / Wind farm experience preferred
Travel for extended periods up to a year duration to project locations is expected.
