Job Description

Title: Project Development
Location: Pittsfield, ME

Job Responsibilities:

  • Continuous outreach to new clients
  • Maintain existing client relationships with wind & solar developers
  • Remain current on local, state, regional and federal policy issues that may affect business opportunities
  • Update opportunities sheet with current developments
  • Be the facilitator for all project specific communication with developer, client community & Cianbro proposal team
  • Assist the Estimating team as required; including scope development, EPC coordination, scheduling, and proposal development
  • Identify and develop strategic relationships with engineering firms, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Support marketing efforts related to project opportunities
  • Remain connected to projects during execution to advance our skill sets and deepen client relations
  • Facilitate & maintain easily accessible “best practices” folders in support of continuous improvement and support of execution teams
  • Perform industry research to position our company for new opportunities 

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 5-10 years of related experience
  • Understanding EPC projects, skill sets, and resources
  • Knowledge of self-perform construction capabilities and subcontract / sub-consultant relationships
  • Proficient  in scope development, cost estimating, and scheduling
  • Familiarity w/ renewable power generation and electrical transmission industry, including trends & relationships
  • Understanding of the Cianbro culture
  • Optimistic attitude and creative problem solving that promotes a successful environment
  • Strong communication skills, capable of communicating with a wide variety of customers, subcontractors/vendors, internal support and stakeholders, and professionals in the development, financial, engineering & construction disciplines
  • Technical capability to analyze information, draw reasonable conclusions, and make good decisions
  • Recognize and adapt to changing priorities and timelines of projects in different phases of maturity
  • Ability to quantify/qualify market trends, opportunities, and competitive threats
  • Travel as required
