Enhancements to the Healthy LifeStyle Program

In the five years since we began our Healthy LifeStyle Program, we have made significant improvements in our health risks. Furthermore, we have slowed the rate of our medical cost increases over that same period of time while still maintaining a high level of coverage. All of this is good news but we still need to do more.

We believe that helping our team members and families improve their quality of life is the right thing to do. Without our health, we have nothing. We continue to be committed to our Healthy LifeStyle Program (HLP) to help us reach our goals. We have a great insurance plan and we want it to be there when we need it, but if we don't need it - all the better. We also need to continue to challenge ourselves to improve and set higher goals.

At the beginning of 2007, we introduced a new phase to our program. The credit towards medical premiums is now organized into the following two components:

  • Participating Credit - Team members and spouses can participate individually in the Healthy LifeStyle Program and will each earn an individual Participating Credit towards medical premiums.
  • Healthy Living Reward - Additionally, each team member and spouse can earn an individual Healthy Living Reward. When a team member or spouse enhances their personal health level by being at or below three of the four health risks listed below, they qualify for this credit.
