Job Responsibilities:

• Weld pipe with consistent quality and safe work practices by understanding and following layouts, blueprints, and work orders.
• Identify different types and preparation of materials used in pipe welding.
• Able to walk the cup.
• Understand proper care in handling materials.
• Identify and use various types of welding tools, wire, and machines.
• Troubleshoot by understanding blueprints, identify issues, and taking corrective actions.
• Perform initial QA/QC checks on finished work to ensure conformance with specifications.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum of three years of experience welding pipe in an industrial environment or two-year welding school.
• Proficient in the use of cutting torch, plasma arc, and cutting machines.
• Prior experience working off lifts or staging.
• Prior Rigging experience is a plus.
• Ability to pass non-destructive weld testing (i.e. X-ray, sonogram) is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair commercial facilities, including office spaces, storage, fabrication, and workshop buildings.
• Constructs, erects, installs, repairs, and finishes walls, drywall, and building framework using hand and power tools, while conforming to local building codes.

This role develops and delivers engaging education programs and communications that empower our internal team members and subcontractors to recognize and respond to cyber threats, understand industry compliance requirements, and safely handle sensitive data. The ideal candidate understands how to communicate security best practices to a diverse, often mobile workforce in a practical, accessible way.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement CMMC S.O.P., cybersecurity awareness, and education programs tailored for a hybrid workforce, including field teams, subcontractors, and corporate staff. (e.g., short videos, toolbox talks, mobile-first modules) to fit construction site environments.
• Conduct regular phishing simulations and provide follow-up education based on results to improve awareness and response to social engineering attacks.
• Develop and distribute regular security communications, alerts, and guidance related programs.

• Safely position and unite steel girders, columns, and other structural members to form completed structures or structural frameworks.
• Read specifications and blueprints to determine the locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
• Set up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural steel members. Hoist steel beams, girders, and columns into place using cranes, using hand signals and tag lines.
• Verify alignment and plumbing of steel structures and make corrections to erected structures as needed.
• Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts following blueprints using various bolts, nuts, washers and torquing.

• Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with layout, connecting and rigging.
• Ability to work at all heights is a must.
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret symbols and abbreviations on plans and drawings.

• Assist in replacing damaged poles with new poles and straightening the poles. Erect poles and light or heavy duty transmission towers. Attach cross arms, insulators, and auxiliary equipment to poles. Dig holes and anchor holes using augers, install ground rods, and set poles using cranes and power equipment. Trim trees that could be hazardous to the functioning of cables or wires.
• Assist in pulling cable including double bundle conductor with wire pulling equipment and/or air support by hand from large reels mounted on trucks. Lay underground cable directly in trenches or string it through conduit running through the trenches. Cut trenches for laying underground cables, using trenchers and cable plows.

In addition to the items above, all participants will learn how to take basic measurements, the proper use of hand and power tools, and equipment operation (aerial, scissor, and forklift).

Upon successful completion of the 3-week program, participants will receive a starter toolbox and a project assignment where they will apply their newly acquired skills while working alongside Cianbro’s craft professionals. Based on performance, these new team members will have the opportunity to receive periodic wage increases and endorsements into one of Cianbro’s formal, long-term apprenticeship programs. Once endorsed, team members will continue to earn a paycheck while they learn and progress towards achieving journey-level proficiency and journey-level wages.

Trim trees that could be hazardous to the functioning of cables or wires.
• Assist in pulling cable including double bundle conductor with wire pulling equipment and/or air support by hand from large reels mounted on trucks. Lay underground cable directly in trenches or string it through conduit running through the trenches. Cut trenches for laying underground cables, using trenchers and cable plows.
• Learn to safely install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution and transmission systems, including conductors, cables, sagging, clipping, dead-end terminations, and associated appliances. Climb poles with Lineman's hooks and use truck-mounted buckets to access equipment.
• Learn to open switches or attach grounding devices in order to remove electrical hazards from disturbed or fallen lines or to facilitate repairs. Place insulating or fireproofing materials over conductors and joints. Identify defective sectionalizing devices, circuit breakers, fuses, voltage regulators, transformers, switches, relays, or wiring using and understanding prints, wiring diagrams, and electrical-testing instruments.
• Learn to inspect and test power lines and auxiliary equipment to locate and identify problems, using reading and testing instruments. Test conductors, according to electrical diagrams and specifications to identify corresponding conductors and to prevent incorrect connections.
• Understand basic electrical theory, distribution circuits, 3 Phase AC, interpret blueprints and 1-line drawings and effectively operate a transit. Assist in the training and direction of employees in lower classifications.
