Cianbro performed three separate electrical transmission line upgrades and reroutes across Interstate 95 to accommodate future upgrades to the Exit 45 interchange. 

Section 181 - 34.5 kV - Performed four structures replacements including:

• Installing conductors, overhead shield wires, and fiber optic cables
• Removing existing structures and conductors
• Performing traffic maintenance
• Other incidental work

Section 194 - 34.5 kV - Performed six structure replacements including:

• Installing conductors, overhead shield wires, and fiber optic cables
• Installing one helical pile foundation
• Removing existing structures and conductors
• Performing traffic maintenance
• Other incidental work

Section 234 - 115 kV - Performed four structure replacements including:

• Performing traffic maintenance
• Other incidental work
• Installing conductors, overhead shield wires, and fiber optic cables
• Removing existing structures and conductors

To ensure successful completion of all three wire crossings over Instate 95, the project team carefully planned and coordinated all work activities and any night work with the Maine State Police and the Maine Turnpike Authority.
