Cianbro Enters Top 100 List of Largest U.S. Contractors

For the first time in Cianbro's history, the company has earned a place on Engineering News-Record's list of the Top 100 U.S. Contractors, coming in at number 88 for 2012.  The ranking is part of ENR's Top 400 Contractors List, which ranks the nation's largest General Contractors by 2011 revenue.

"The hard work and focus of Cianbro team members have grown the company to one of the top 100 construction companies in the United States," said Cianbro Corporation President Andi Vigue. "Our largest volume year (2011) was also the safest year in our history.  This success can be attributed to the commitment of our team members, who are also the owners of the company.  This is a tremendous accomplishment."

Cianbro Chairman & CEO Pete Vigue points out that the accomplishments that have influenced the company's remarkable growth are based on teamwork.  "The very difficult things that we've accomplished have not been accomplished by one person but by all of us," said Pete.  "And that's the culture that exists in this employee-owned company.  The culture that we want to preserve at Cianbro is all about engaging people and bringing them along so that they develop as time goes by.  Over time, our team members understand that they can be key and critical to the decision-making process that is important at every level of the organization."

Cianbro's unprecedented ranking "is a significant improvement in overall ranking from number 138 in 2011 and number 169 for 2010," said Cianbro's Chief Financial Officer, Aldo Servello.  "I think it's a testament to the diversity that we have in the business."

"Great news!" That's how Cianbro's Vice President for Business Development Peter Cianchette assessed the ranking. "This is great progress for our company!  Congratulations to all."
